the enraging thing about it is that there was a ton of evidence that he was lying even as he said it over and over and democrats refused to put a stop to it. they were afraid that something WOULD be found and they would look bad and that if nothing was found it would be the end of his presidency for lying so blatantly to the country. Neither proved to be the case.
