The embryonic research has shown far less results than the alternative sources.
It is argued that it does have more long term potential, but the science is just not ready for it.
Things could change tomorrow, then it may be appropriate to change policies regarding funding related to existing embryos.
As of now, president bush is against further government funding of embryonic stem cell research for ethical and scientific reasons.
Liberals just decided to tell you that superman died because President Bush reads his bible.
Whoever started this thread felt the topic extremely important, but didn't take the time to google. My bet is that they had little time becuase this was posted on a lot more message boards. It wasn't meant for serious scientific and ethical discussion.
