the question isnt really about how long propogation takes. The issue is that when you change hosts or name servers you should go offline if your new host has you setup because it goes to the old host. So when a host tells you it hasnt propegated yet and your site is offline its because they havent set you up yet. I think this is the point of the thread for all you newbies. Dont be suckered by a host who tells you that it hasnt propegated yet, if its still exists at the old host then your site should still be online.
