I think your thread title is way off. The US doesn't want women to fight so they "hate women"? Ridiculous.

I think they're protecting them. I'm sure that may not be seen favorably by the women who really want to be on the front lines, but I don't see a problem with it. We're not fighting people who "play fair". We're fighting animals who take hostages, violate them in any way possible, and treat their own women like shit. Add that up and it equals a bad situation for female soldiers. Captured female soldiers often experience torturous treatment above and beyond that of their male counterparts AND that treatment is often used to influence male captives (i.e. I'm raping your fellow soldier, so give me some information). The US government should protect their soldiers in combat to the extent that they are able to, and if keeping female soldiers off the front line does that, then so be it.

Then again, I'm a feminist, not a femi-Nazi.
