Magazine to publish photo of chosenbody part in next six issues
Esquire last year changed the title to ?sexiest woman alive,? bestowing Angelina Jolie with the honor.NEW YORK - To reveal the ?sexiest woman alive,? Esquire magazine is holding a six-month-long striptease.

Esquire will publish a photo of the chosen woman?s body part in the next six issues, beginning with the June issue. The first clue, her right foot, is little to go on.

?We decided that if we did a slow reveal of the woman we?re going to name, it would garner a lot more attention and also be something fun for readers,? editor in chief David Granger told The Associated Press on Friday.

After putting out a ?women we love? issue for years, Esquire last year changed the title to ?sexiest woman alive,? bestowing Angelina Jolie with the honor. With this year?s gimmick, Esquire hopes to further separate itself from the pack of ?hottest,? ?sexiest? and ?most beautiful? magazine issues.

?People (magazine) has done the sexiest man for 10 years or so, so it was a straight steal from People to name the sexiest woman alive,? Granger said. ?It works for them and nobody was doing it for women, so it was a perfect opportunity.?

Some hints on this year?s ?sexiest woman?:

 1. She has something in common with Billy Bob Thornton.

 2. She was born while Margaret Thatcher was the British Prime Minister.

 3. The name of the town where she grew up is a common noun.

 4. She has experience with power tools.

 5. She is not Christine Todd Whitman.
