I think alot of people have just grown up not knowing about animals and our ecosystem. Peta and the people who support it have an ideology that our world should not tolerate humans causing so much suffering to animals for our insignifigant needs such as fashion and food. I used to be a vegetarian for 6 years and understand why they have so much hatred for people that want a sicker and more violant world... I really do think that there needs to be a balance and little boys that shoot dogs for fun is not what the human race should look forward too. I can see their vision of a peaceful world where they can have animals roaming around free and people respecting them as a food source and living things, but most cultures look at them as peices of meat and not capable of having feelings... anyways, there is soo much evil in this world that you can get frustrated and take it to extreme levels as they do.
I would like to believe that the human race is capable of being peaceful with their enviroment but our history proves that to not be true... just think if the hippies were not there to attempt to balance the other side... we could all have pollution EVERYWHERE and think its a cost of living.. people should really look at the intentions of these movements rather then what they are saying... looking at the intentions you should find something everyone can agree on... but most people are not trained to communicate well... its not even taught in school...
