If you're serious here is what I do.
I have a scene or an image of somethig peaceful that I look at in my mind while I'm going to sleep. It doesn't have to be boring or stupid - just something that you find (or found) very relaxing.
Concentrate on that scene, examine that scene all the time you're trying to go off to sleep.
Do it every night and after a while it will become your trigger to sleep.
I'm not joking when I tell you that I can use my trigger to put myself to sleep just about anytime of the day or night that I need a break.
My kids will tell you that they've seen me catnapping while standing in line at a supermarket check out.
