OK first of all the US was founded in 1776 and 300 years before 1776 is 1476 and Columbus didn't reach the West Indies until 1492. Slaverly in what is now the US didn't start until the late 1600's and the US did in fact import slaves. Even up until the 1840's the southern states were still bringing in slaves from Africa.
