We pay these guys anywhere from 9%-15% to process our transactions, weed out fraud, do customer service and pretty much fully maintain our 'merchant acct'. now what bugs the fuck out of me, is when the blame is passed onto the sponsor for sending fraudulent tranactions. If we can not have any say in the submission process of a credit card and not allowed to interfear whatsoever with the signup process, then how the fuck do they expect us to police it? If I am not mistaken, this is the 3rd party processors job to scrub these transactions out, and make sure OUR accts remain in good standing so we can maintain a long relationship and everyone makes money. What I have come to find recently is... its all bullshit.
So why not get your own merchant acct, control your own join forms, put in place you own antifraud scripts, hire a 3rd party customer support company along with a good gateway that has access to upto date negative databases and helpful tools you would need to successfully run your acct, and save you anywhere from 5%-10%
just wondering
