China Gross Domestic Product is around 1.7 Trillion
USA population is almost 300 million
China's population is around 1.2 billion

So for China to be on equal terms with the US, they would need to increase their GDP by around 6 times multiplied by 4 as it has four time the number of people. So it should have a GDP of 40.8 trillion!!!

This is just a basic show of how impossible it is for China to be an economic superpower like the USA, even more so since the cold war showed that the world can't have two superpowers.
