This was my final prediction of the fight in a different thread:

My final prediction about the way the fight will go:

Tyson will not knock out Lewis in the first few rounds. Lewis will keep him on the outside with his jab.

Tyson will then become frustrated and do something stupid and be knocked out by Lewis or will be disqualified.

Bottom line a Lewis knockout of Tyson or a Tyson disqualification.
Having watched the fight this is my critique of the fight.

Tyson came to the fight and did what Tyson had to do and that was to take the fight to Lewis and try to get on the inside.

Tyson did get on the inside several times, but Lewis would immediately tie him up.

In addition Lewis nailed him about three different times with uppercuts. Also as I recall he also nailed Tyson with a couple of right hands.

These punches hurt Tyson. I think by the 3rd round (could have been the fourth) Tyson's legs were not under him, he had sustained a cut, and appeared to be somewhat dazed.

The steam had been knocked out of him, he had enough of trying to get on the inside (his only chance of winning the fight) and Lewis took him apart after that point on.

Now some people are saying Tyson didn't bring it, Tyson didn't fight the way he should have, Lewis got lucky, and Tyson would have beat Lewis in his younger days, etc.

Tyson brought it with him, started out fighting the fight that he needed to fight. Lewis's tactic of tying him up on the inside and the power of the uppercuts and right hands basically took all of the fight out of Mike.

Lewis did not get lucky. He fought the fight exactly as he should have and it paid off.

For those of you that have said Tyson was a great boxer when he was younger and would have beaten Lewis then. It is my opinion that this is not true. He had limited boxing skills. He was a heavy puncher, and was very aggressive and this won him fights. If the young Tyson would have fought the old Lewis of tonight the results would have been the same.

Lewis is now a better boxer then Tyson ever was and though he is not now, nor has he ever been the heavy puncher that Tyson was, Lewis still has knock out power in either hand and is a power puncher himself.

The outcome of the fight was inevitable other than the off chance that Tyson would nail Lewis with a solid shot.
