Oh, the above video? The cager is out on bail and probably won't be facing any charges. This happened last Thursday in Mexico City. But, it happens everywhere, including the US, all the fucking time!

Actually... the politician (Bill Janklow, South Dakota) wasn't drunk but did blow through a stop sign doing 75 in a 55. He claimed to be suffering from a sugar imbalance at the time. He did resign from the House and served some time but not much.
And please don't get me wrong, here... I am not trying to defend drunk-driving, plowing through stop signs or getting light sentences because you are well connected. All are fucking wrong. Just getting the facts straight.

As far as drunk driving goes... I don't agree in the death penalty but there should be WAY stiffer penalties for DUI offenses in this stupid country. We are way to lax about alcohol use. Especially when compared to the sentences dolled out for drug offenses (particularly pot).
