I"m sure this is not the rule for everyone and some have started since then, but I would think the average age of the "big dawgs" is 30 - 35.

The average is probably younger for the tech guys working in the industry now.

Who knows, I took a different route than most, but I'm just a little over 30.

I'd agree with this.

Not all, but a lot of 'playas' or 'pimps' as some are referred to on here are in the above age bracket (30-35) atleast that I personally know. Most have good sites, programs, affiliates, a mini or full blown network of sites. Also most I know of have been in the game since late 90's.

9 years for me. I am 32. Most remember the old internet days, both good and bad of the past. Tried, done, or sold off pieces. Also their goodies tend to be more quality than quanity.

Some of the younger (not all) I've more recently talked with from here, and around seem to be more of the 'throw a ton of shit at wall, and something's gonna stick' mentality. 100 crap sites to make same money some oldbie with 10 in a mini network make.

But.. also a lot of the old 'playas' have moved on from being webby's, to owning this, merging that, and so on. Seems to be a lot of them consolidating, and taking on mgmnt/marketing positions this year.
