I have been married and divorced twice. I am single but in a relationship for the past year and a half. I believe I am authority on the subject..I have 2 kids that I see 5 days a week.
DarkJedi is correct for some people and incorrect for others.
My 2nd divorce I felt like I got raped. My X bribed me to see my own children. So in that respect I agree..
I disagree that kids get fucked up unless the man marrys the girl he has children with. If the guy wants to be a good dad and put his children first before humself which is what any good parent will do the kids will be fine.
3. If you do want children in MOST cases you have to get married.
4. If you don't want kids I agree there is no reason to get married.
5. In my situation being 42 with a 14 year old son and a 11 year old daughter I ABSOLUTLY HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN BY GETTING MARRIED AGAIN. I would consider bying a house and living with my GF but there simply is no reason to get married.
BOTTOM LINE---when well over 50% of marriges end in divorce and in MOST of the cases us MEN GET ROBBED unless there is a IRON CLAD PERNUPTUAL I would say if you don't want kids don't do it...
They really need to change the divorce laws because in MANY CASES women getting married is like them having a job. My x had nothing. Now because of what she got and what my payments continue to be in child support she has a GREAT life. If she never met me or never got married she would probably be living with her folks.
In my case my X NEVER DEPOSITED 1 DIME into our joint savings or checking accounts yet she leaves the marrige with over 60%..
So inconclusion---LISTEN TO DARK JEDI..He might be a little cold how he presents himself but he is on the right track!!!!
