i'm not all that up and up on religion, but i think christianity is a form of religion. basically, you believe that christ was the physical manisfestation of god. or some shit.
anyone here ever heard of Soren Kierkegaard? he was a christian, and also one of the first modern-day existentialists.
deeply religious, and definitely not a catholic/protestant/etc. the idea of church, to him, was bullshit. same with rules and regulations (mostly contrived by the church) - rules and regulations take you farther away from 'god'. it was all about having a 1-to-1 relationship with god, and making the 'leap of faith' to Him. while i don't buy his argument for god, he does have many good ideas - very influencial for existentialism and even (philisophical) post-modernism. read 'Fear and Trembling' for more....
