If that happened to me i'd be pretty fucked.
Try calling a local physician and see what they say about it. You could always do something to get adreneline flowing hardcore, that would help a hell of a lot. Though...i'm not really sure how someone would bring on adrenaline on-demand, short of jumping out of a plane.
