It takes a lot more than whistling at a white woman to piss off an entire town enough to string somebody up to a tree. Most of the time, lynchings were street justice when a horrible crime had been committed that really angered the local population
There were also lynchings of child rapists etc... Many white criminals were lynched by vigilante mobs. The media likes to report black lynchings out of context. THat way they can stir up racist hatred and promote their leftist social programs and civil rights bullshit
