Man... last time I was in Hollywood and drove through there, all the crack houses that were once up were gone, a parking garage has been put up, the streets has direction now and you can only drive so far... It's
MUCH better than when I lived there. It was a freakin' war zone when I lived there.
What happened was I went there knowing NOTHING about the area and it all looks shitty anyway... so I see this place in the daytime, took it, flew home and drove out.
Arrived at Yucca Street about 3am. Had to pass dope boys and gang guys who were beating on my U-Haul truck as I drove by. I was scared to get out but I had to, rang to the manager to let me in the parking area with my truck and loaded in. I made it.
The next night at about 10pm all hell broke loose. There was several drive by shootings on the corner where my building was, gang members everywhere until the ghetto bird flew in with it's blinding lights and lit the area up like it was noon. Police come break it all up and it gets quiet until about 4am... hell breaks loose again as I awake to several gun shots outside my window.
That was pretty much the same story for about a year. Oh how I miss that place.
Now... it may still be a war zone, I wouldn't know... I'm just saying that it LOOKS better than it did.
