Hrm. No offence geared your way at all dude but when a site owns a design (which they do because your wife designed it for Tam and Tam sold the sites all to these guys) they are the copyright holders on it unless there were special circumstances in writing that the creater holds all intelectual rights and credits.
When I design sites for clients they put their own copyright on the pages. It doesn't mean they are taking credit for my work but stating that they own the intelectual property which is design, layout and texts. Even if I built it for free, which I have
Maybe you feel this is different since she did them for free, however, all that would really be due is credit, copyright is a seperate thing altogether.
