I just got the worst news I could possibly get...
My mother just phoned and told me my grandmother is dead. I'm still pretty much in shock... We are going to make arrangements (I am across the country) as best we can, but I will likely have to go out there to finalize them..
My grandmother wasn't just my grandmother, she raised me my entire life... She was my mother, not my grandmother. She was there for me through everything.. she helped me when I got home from the hospital with my son because I had no idea what to do with a newborn. She was always there with a kind word and encouragement when I was down, and good advice when I needed it. She loved me unconditionally, and never judged me for my mistakes.
THe kids are still at school and don't know yet.. I don't really know how to tell them (we just went out there a month ago and she's still fresh in their minds), but if I'm not responding to messages and whatnot, please be patient.
This is probably the most painful moment of my adult life, I have loved and lost many, but this one is definitely the worst. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. If you need me and can't get a hold of me, please contact my husband, jact (Joel) at icq 326603.
