I thought I should inform you immediately that I will be unable to attend work today due to my being stung by a wasp wilst sleeping last night. As I'm sure you will no doubt appreciate, the weather has been extremely warm of late, leading to my sleeping unclothed and without bedsheeting. It is this postition of sleeping which left me vulnerable to the wasp's attack.
As proof of my dire circumstance, I enclose a picture as proof of my discomforting situation. I trust that this will suffice until such time as I can provide the usual medical and statutory certification."</font>
