And they are right to an extent. There are only a handful of companies out there though with the marketing resources to take a domain into the stratosphere.

I know several domain guys who think they are already Billionaires. And if you look at all the names they've got you'd say yep that portfolio has the "potential" to be worth a billion one day. Again "potential". Its not there yet because despite the immense wealth of the top several hundred domainers, none that I can see have the individual financial resources and people resources to take their portfolio from PPC landing pages to the fully developed and fully worldwide marketed level.
So there are some people with a bunch of good names that are just sitting on them instead of developing them.

This "sexy.com" domain being talked about would you sell it for a million if it was yours?
