I can tell you from personal experience.I was in the service during Vietnam.Jane Fonda was clearly wrong for what she did,but her attitude towards vets was not unique.She was only the mouthpiece for many,many young people of that era.

Coming home from the service during Vietnam was not at all like Desert Storm.There were no parades or heroes.
