Funny you should say that. FYI, there ISN'T a parrot in the picture. There is a Blue & Gold Macaw (which isn't a parrot) and a Cockatoo (which isn't a parrot - I have 2 Goffins).

People always group them into the same word - "parrot." Being an owner for over 20 years (or "owned" is a better word), you grow accustomed to hearing people mistake what they're actually seeing.

And, yes, these birds LOVE to play, being extremely social, and "upside down" and "roll over" is part of the "game-interaction."

My small Goffins have had their "bite pressure" tested with a pressure transducer and each exerted around 700psi on the indicator. I have no doubt, the Macaw could double that easily, if not triple it. So, how much pressure do you think it takes to remove a finger? Not much.

If that macaw didn't want to be upside down, believe me, he WOULDN'T BE!
