Counting will give the player anywhere from a 1-4% advantage. I can sit on a table, count and still lose, and I've sat at tables and after 4 or 5 hours been up 5 or 10 grand, and its then they start suspecting you are counting. Swings will always occur but it all comes down to what you can do in the long run.

Yeah, it is luck. But i always quit when i'm ahead which i think is also one of the reasons i'm up. Sometimes i'll go to the casino and win go up about 75% in as little as 10 minutes. I'm out the door ASAP. So yeah, i get lucky, but i take advantage of that luck and don't piss it away. Learning strategy will probably help me win more, but honestly, i don't sit at a table for very long and i don't play very serious amounts of money. It's just for fun.
