One day at Pho. I brought my family in and we had 5 people. We ate and noticed something strange. 4 Vietnamese couples came in and ate soup and then left without paying. Strange. Then my bill comes and it is $68. It isn't itemized. I add up in my head what my family ate and it is about $32. So where did the $36 more come from? The soups the other couples ate were about $6 each so I figure they are charging the white guy for everyone elses soups? Hmm???
I go to the register and everyone who works behind the counter are like hush hush and won't make eye contact. So I ask for my check the waiter wrote out and they can't find it. I take out a menu and add up everything on a piece of paper for them and tell them that is all I will pay. They can't speak English. I take out my phone and proceed to call the cops and suddenly they speak English and fix my bill.
