your argument doesn't hold water mailman. Most music artists actually support mp3's for the purpose of getting their music out to the masses and selling more CDs.... that's the way it was intended to be used. Sample a song, like it? Buy it.
And your TV analogy is worng as well. If I bought a tv and didn't like the quality, yes.... I would take it back. But I think they would have a problem if you used it for a month and then tried to bring it back. So yes.... time DOES matter. Most software gives you a trial period with which to do the very same thing, for the very same purpose: Getting their software out to the masses to try and buy. And in fact, it's normally a much longer period.... usually a month or better. If you can't make a decision to buy or not to buy in that time.... you're stealing.
