what is the point of this?

The point is if you are traveling towards someone and 10,000 mph and throw a ball in the same direction at 50mph,, the ball will come at that person at 50 mph plus 10,000 mph for a total of 10,050 mph.
This DOES NOT HAPPEN with light,, its always traveling at the same speed no matter what perspective you are measuring it from.
