 DUDE, the most dangerous thing here are the whores that wants your money... as long as you don't go in the bad places at night alone...  HAHA, I didn't mean it quite like that, I imagine Bucarest is similar to any major city, but I am really hell bent on going to Translyvania (if you really live there, then you're just the person I want to talk to), but everyone I talk about it to (mostly Europeans) say that there are a lot of gypsys and people who will try to rob me and/or cheat me when I buy stuff (which is pretty much the standard for a foriegn tourist anywhere in the world, so my main concern is getting flat out robbed).  If I stayed in Bucarest and went to Translyvania for a day would I be pretty safe as an American tourist?
