As I said before, it goes back to it being an exclusive car. If you've got more money then you'll ever need, why not indulge in a rediculously rare car? People do it all the time with Enzo's...
Hell, what about the guy that spent 3 million dollars on a prototype car that was built in the 50's? Or the guy who spends 500k for an original shelby cobra? It's about being exclusive and being able to say, "I have one".
