It's because when a woman figures out that you are realitivly "Safe" we relax a bit around you and let go.
Otherwise we are constantly worrying about everything we say or do might be interpreted as an invite to chew the zipper off of our pants.
I do it myself. When a guy I know is taken and getting married. I flirt with him and laugh a little. I don't normally do that otherwise.
