To those with downtime issues and infact to all sponsors - what percentage of your budget do you put into your infostructure - not just the hosting bill but also on the hardware and software protection side of your infostructure?

It sounds like there are more and more attacks and unexpected downtimes which lead to lost revenue for all parties involved. Is better hardware / software protection needed to protect everyone's investments in time, traffic and frustration?
