I've flown internationally with Air New Zealand, British Airways, United and Virgin Atlantic:
Air New Zealand - good food, poor inflight entertainment, attractive staff.
British Airways - good food, average inflight entertainment, not so attractive staff.
United - average food, good inflight entertainment, average looking staff.
Virgin Atlantic - average food, excellent inflight entertainment, very good looking staff.
Most international airlines are very similar nowadays. I make international flights about 8 times per year, and normally just go with whatever is the cheapest direct flight.
