there is no conspiracy. This happens with every president. When Clinton was in power not a day went by that you didn't hear about something. The press tore him up. Bush, as compared to Clinton, gets a free pass.
Bush sent us to war under the pretense that there were WMD's. We now find out that we had no real proof before we attacked and we found nothing. You would think the press would rip him apart for this but they rarely ever say a word about it.
Bush submitted a bunch of judges to be nomitated to various courts. All but 10 of them were confirmed. The 10 that were not are radical right-wing religous types. So after his re-election he resubmits them. They get shot down again and now he and the other repubs are trying to change the rules so they could do whatever they want. This should be on the front page every day. But it's hardly talked about.
Bush actually paid a few talk show hosts to publicly back his plan for social security reform. These hosts took the money and did as was told. Very little was made of this. I know that pundits are just mouthpieces for thier party, but this crossses a big line because in this case they didn't really belive in the plan, but they said they did because they were paid to and thier opinion was presented as being thier own.
And there was hardly a word about this in the media.
Presidents always get attacked by the media, some just more than others.
