That story is never going to be accepted by your neighbor. He is always going to think it is just some cover story you concocted after you realized what you yelled.
In addition, even if he did believe you were not yelling that at him . . . most black people don't really care "why" you were using the word. They just care that you use the word.

Please amend your will to leave all of your domains to me. You should do it fast because I'm not sure how long you might have.
