yep it comes down to the people. the places you want to be at have sysadmins that are protective of "their" servers - the ones that are proud of their uptime and get upset when shit goes south. they're the ones that care about your sites (tho they might also be a bit abrasive at times "what the hell script did you install that pegged the CPU"
