It really all depends upon the hosting company itself.
I have paid for midrange and high-end hosting/servers and gotten horrible service. I have also gotten killer deals with some smaller companies and gotten great service, network uptime, ect..,
Your getting reamed when your support doesnt respond to your emails or your server is more down than up. It can happen with $1000 Sun or a $100 cobalt raq. More often than not its not just the Mack daddy Datacenter and the gold plated Bandwidth that counts, its the Poeple who are Adminstering and managing it...
