 Probally because they are sitting their lazy asses on the couch while more fit people are running, walking, bike riding, swimming, rock climbing and other thing sthan can potentially kill you. Not too much danger sitting in front of a TV unless (A) a chunk of airplane poop falls through your roof and hits you or (B) you live in a trailer in Alabama and you get into an argument over watching Dukes of Hazzrds re-runs or wrestling and you get shot by your spouse/sibling.
