I'm willing to risk it...and would push my lawyer to go for jury nullification...a lot of jurors wouldn't want to convict you for defending yourself...so chances are there'd be a hung jury and the state wouldn't want to spend the money to try and convict again.
Hell there's that man down in Louisiana that planned an attack on a boy scout troop leader who molested his son and was being brought back to the state.
It's old video from the 80's where he's sitting on this phone in the airport and they are walking the guy by and he turns and pops him like right in the head...jury found him not guilty.
