Cool... My story's about the same. Martial arts is like breathing; if I stopped, I'm probably whither and die...
I was supposed to fight in the Shidokan several years back, but I broke my foot in training, so I did shootfighting instead and concentrated on the ground for those (foot still wasn't completely healed). Had a couple promoters lined up for IFC before falling in love and moved to England to be with this amazing girl, which ended my need to fight. Martial arts are still very much still my passion, but I don't really feel the need to compete anymore...
