So when I come across companies now with something through GoDaddy, first order of business is to change registrar.
Plus, I've heard some stories from other webmasters, and their nightmares with them. I'd never use, nor recommend them for anything.

ya the domain in question was registered by my friend when he worked for uunet, and he put "fris freak" as the company, so when i transfered it over to godaddy. and put it in my friends account. then he did a change account but i didnt accept it within the 10 day period. i called them and asked if they could process it because i lost contact with my friend.
they told me i had to show either photo id with "fris freak" or company letter head. i told them they were crazy. and they told me to register a company by that name. so i went off and told them i had the domain before they even existed.
all in all i did get a hold of my friend and got it settled. but they are clueless.
