Arguably a lot of the "models" have a lack or respect for themselves. You think many little girls grow up wanting to be "pornstars"? Doesn't it seem that most girls do it in hard times, or just to pay the bills? How many educated professional women wake up and decide they'd like to be a pornstar? How many girls that work in porn regret it later in life?
Now obviously not everybody is in the same boat. Some girls really are quite sexual by nature and probably enjoy doing what they're doing. It doesn't go against their beliefs or morales and all the power to them. I'm going to guess that isn't the majority of the talent though.
As for a lack of respect really changing anything? Another batch of girls will turn 18 tomorrow and end up down on their luck.
