We thought my b/f had the flu a couple of years ago (since I had it the week before). Stomach ache, nausea, cold sweats, etc. Took him to the ER when the pain got bad. At first they thought it was kidney stones, until he basically
"crashed" in the ER. Turns out his appendix had burst, and he almost died. To make a VERY long story short, he went septic (infection in his blood), 2 emergency surgeries, 9 days induced coma, breathing tubes, fed through IV's, and 6 weeks in the hospital.
As for kidney stones, my sister has them. As a matter of fact, she has one now. She says the pain comes and goes, but it is a bad pain. You should definitely see a doctor, ER is probably best. BTW, if it is a kidney stone, good luck passing it.
