Dear Gov. Schwarzenegger!

I believe you are doing what you can but I also believe you promissed the farm when you ran for office as Govenor of CA. You continually said that the CA economy was struggling because of the way a CA business is taxed. Yet here a few years later nothing has changed. Perhaps your hands are tied and there is nothing you can do about it. Afterall, two states that border CA (NV and OR) don't have income tax.

Just to let you know between the end of last week and this I visited OR. Nice place. Wouldn't want to live their full time but all I have to do is live their 6 months and 1 day per year. My CA corporations will be disolved as I move my operations to OR. No longer will the franchise board be my adversary. No longer will they take $800 per LLC and no longer will the state of CA take a portion of my income.

I work hard for my money. I don't want to pay for failing programs. The roads in CA suck. Gas is 50 cents more than where I lived in FL. A $500,000 home here is a dump but don't get me wrong I love CA and I will be living here in my second home approximately 5 months or just shy of that per year. Oregon is my home now (well, at least based on homestead laws), and I like the fact that I will save about 10% more per year.

If anyone wants to come up to Gold Beach let me know. We can drink and party and watch the sun set over the Pacific. Hopefully we will not get the munchies because while the area is beautiful it is also quite quiet. i doubt there is a restaurant open past 10. LOL. Wait. CA - I want to come back home. Just kidding. I can cook just fine so we can have the munchies all day.

Anyway, I'll be right back. It is cocktail time.
