Yesterday -- turned down an invite to play a 2 hr set at a movie release party for Snoop at the Tribeca Film Festival even though I am already headed to nyc that same weekend.

dj'ng and playing all instruments for that matter for the average person is a great hobby and outlet that can get corrupted if you cross a certain line which is different for everybody. the release and freedom of expression are the benefits of being a purist imho & ego's do not fit in to the mix.

For every lantern and hookid there are a lot of washed failures who's lives are spent living a fantasy that turns into a nightmare with self-realization.
very well said man...egos will get you no where FAST......

DJing is my career, adult is just a money maker while I wait for that to happen...I plan on being a dj until I loose function of my arms and I can't use turntables anymore..djing is my passion more than anything ever has been in my life
