I think that anyone with a housecat that has gotten out and gotten lost for an extended period of time would agree that this isn't a smart thing to do. You can safely assume that a Muskrat or a Raccoon isn't someone's pet and truly a wild animal and thus justified. A housecat? Come on.

I believe that housepets should be fixed if one isn't a breeder. However, I don't support the hunting of domesticated animals.

I'm not an activist or a member of PETA but I've grown up with pets and wouldn't want to think that some redneck with a gun is shooting at fluffy if he decided to go for a stroll about the town one day.
