Mr. Bush stated emphatically he would not reinstate the draft. That statement was made during his campaign and after.

From what I'm understanding, there are enough volunteers for most of the branches.....they may not need to reinstate.

I know my son was turned down by the Coast Guard....they had enough in the way of volunteers...the same with the Air Force and the Marines....I've heard the Army is doing fine, as is the Navy, although the Navy recruiters were looking for people.....which I found interesting, because they are not really in the line of fire at the moment.....I would think, anyone joining, would choose the Navy, so as to stay out of the line of fire...or as far away from it as possible.
