About 200 troops that have lost one or more limbs from wounds sustained in Iraq have applied to remain on active duty. The Army is allowing some to return to active duty. This because of better cutting edge prosthetics.
I applied to remain on active duty after I sustained injuries during the 1st Gulf War...but I was denied. I am pleased to see that the military is relaxing their policies to some extent.
