I got the idea because I once had a nose infection and the doctor had me put neosporin inside my nose. It was a nasty infection that was growing for a week but only one day of neosporin and it was virtually gone.
I used a q-tip swab to stick the neosporin up my nostril.

Sad to report that sticking it up your nose is still topical (it would also be topical if you stuck it in your mouth just for future reference). If you had herpes or a canker sore on the inner lining of your nose then yes, I can see how that would help. But to say that it got rid of your flu is just downright sophmoric.
Send out a newsflash to all the old people that weren't able to get flu vaccines this year because of the shortage. I'm sure they'll be enthralled by this breakthrough.
