I'm sure they have the right to call police if they have reason to beleive the currency may be counterfeit. I'm not defending what happened, the guy got screwed and like you I'd be pretty pissed if that happened. But some things said in that article like
"So she took the money. Like she's doing me a favor."
She WAS doing him a favor.
